Which tools does Token Island support?
The current app tracks Claude Code and Codex CLI. The site is structured so more harnesses can be added as the native app grows.
Does my data leave my machine?
Usage data stays local. Claude usage is requested directly from Anthropic with the local Claude Code token, and Codex usage is read from local session files.
Why use the notch instead of the menu bar?
Quota is a glanceable state, not a dashboard. The notch is already persistent, so it can show status without adding another menu bar item.
What happens when a source is stale?
Token Island keeps the last known value visible, dims the ring, and shows freshness in the expanded island.
Can I change the ring colors?
Yes. Settings include per-harness colors, refresh interval, launch at login, hover behavior, and the selected collapsed metric.
What are the system requirements?
Token Island targets macOS 14+ on a notched MacBook. If no notched display is found, the app idles cleanly.
